Yoga Business.  Do these two words sit together uncomfortably for you?  Often in spiritual circles and communities the word “business” is considered to be a dirty word. But why?

The life of a yoga business owner is a serious business with overheads and a budget to manage, like any business.  But in reality yoga teachers are often running themselves ragged racing from class to class or struggling to get the numbers in their studios.

Being a yoga teacher is not always enough when you are managing a yoga business.  Teacher training programs don’t usually cover the business side of managing a yoga business.  Many yoga teachers are asking how they can not only survive but actually thrive during these challenging economic times.

This site is to here to help yoga teachers and yoga business owners successfully grow their yoga business through information, techniques, and strategies for business growth.

There are many avenues to facilitate the growth of a yoga business.   Ones own inner creativity is a good starting point to think differently to find new solutions.  There is an abundance of opportunities if you know where and how to look.

Start thinking about the areas of yoga that are of particular interest to you. What are you really passionate about with your yoga teaching?   What would like to incorporate into your classes more?  Also think about or even ask your students what their true needs are from their yoga classes.

These simple questions are a starting point to consider potential new yoga teaching solutions and offerings.  There is a realm of possibilities within the different aspects of teaching such as creating and teaching yoga courses, leading yoga holidays, teaching private yoga and teaching yoga for children or even creating your own yoga shop.

You could also consider working with a coach or mentor to help guide you through the process of making changes to grow your business.  They can give you a helping hand, support, suggest strategies and help keep you motivated during difficult times.  Just having someone that you are accountable to can make a world of difference.

Having an online presence with effective marketing can work wonders for any business. The right use of a domain name, creating the right website optimized for search engines, using auto responders and communicating with your tribe can take your yoga business to the next level.

Taking the step to grow your yoga business to create more abundance in your life and yoga business is a positive and evolved step to take.  After all creating a wider audience gives you a greater opportunity to share your gifts of teaching yoga with the world.  Everyone benefits and ultimately the world becomes a better place.
